This initiative is led by Drive Clean Colorado in collaboration with the Colorado Energy Office and the ReCharge Colorado coaches from organizations statewide including CLEER, 4CORE, and Northern Colorado Clean Cities. Drive Electric Colorado was launched in October 2020, by Coloradans, for Coloradans. We believe that equipping Coloradans with the right information will encourage the adoption of electric vehicles (EVs). Our goal is to help the state of Colorado reach 940,000 EVs on the road by 2030. We offer an easily-reached source of easy-to-understand and unbiased facts, deals, and coaching regarding anything EV-related – from what models of electric vehicles are available, how charging works, where to connect with other EV drivers, and how to save the most money. Our friendly coaching/concierge service is the cornerstone of Drive Electric Colorado and sets us apart from other EV awareness campaigns. Our team and Volunteer EV Coaches live and work in communities across the state that are experiencing increases in EV adoption and are available to answer questions and speak to their experiences in one-to-one conversations. This initiative also incorporates dealerships, fleets, policymakers, EV clubs, utilities, and regulators.
Drive Electric Colorado is part of Drive Electric USA, a Department of Energy-funded project comprised of Clean Cities Coalitions, electric vehicle groups, and other committed partners. This project engages individuals, utilities, legislators, dealerships and others towards removing adoption barriers and accelerating plug-in electric vehicle use throughout the United States. Drive Electric USA is growing, with Drive Electric Colorado assisting their social media team.
