Conservation Colorado's Advanced Clean Cars Rulemaking Comment Writing Party
September 27 @ 5:30 pm — 6:30 pm
Conservation Colorado invites you to the Advanced Clean Cars Rulemaking Comment Writing Party! Come learn more about the rulemaking and share your story about how getting more gas vehicles off the road and investing in EVs is good for Colorado.
What is the Advanced Clean Cars 2 Rulemaking? Colorado is still not on track to achieve the reductions in greenhouse gas pollution required under HB19-1261. Vehicles are the largest share of GHG emissions in our state. Toxic vehicle pollution is linked to higher rates of cancer, heart disease, respiratory disorders and premature death. This pollution disproportionately harms low-income communities and Latinx, Black, Indigenous, and people of color. The Advanced Clean Cars 2 (ACC2) rule is a set of regulations that will reduce pollution and GHG emissions from light-duty vehicles. It is a requirement on car manufacturers to ramp up sales of new zero-emission and plug-in hybrid cars over time, reaching 100% of new vehicle sales by 2035.
