March 23, 2023

Drive Clean Colorado is excited to share one of our Community Partners, the City of Colorado Springs! The City of Colorado Springs and DCC have worked together for quite some time, with the City of Colorado Springs has been a community sponsor of DCC since 2022. We are thrilled with the accomplishments we have made together. In 2022, the City of Colorado Springs finalized its Electric Vehicle Readiness Plan, focusing on infrastructure, accessibility, and incentives.

In 2023, the City of Colorado Springs, with support from DCC, is working on a Sustainability Action Plan that will encompass the development and implementation of projects focusing on equitable and sustainable solutions for both our community and the planet. DCC has also been working with the City of Colorado Springs and Rolling Energy Resources on collecting EV driving data to help place EV chargers in charging gaps, with a focus specifically on equity, especially for Multi-Family Units in the City.

Deborah Newman, Innovation Analyst for the City of Colorado Springs says that “the City of Colorado Springs works with DCC to help provide information and awareness about EVs and EV infrastructure to our citizens, and to better understand barriers to EV adoption.” We have accomplished great things and are excited for what lies ahead!
